One of my favorite songs/album introduction of all time. Just listen to the lyrics, they’re so deep and dark but beautiful.

You know what show we don’t talk about enough?

Static Shock. This show was like everything to me as a kid. Not only did it have a black protagonist.

but an awesome gay superhero

a BAMF lady hero

and a superhero with dyslexia

It dealt with important issues like peer pressure

gang violence

bullying and gun safety

and I think that is worth talking about

Fucking loved this show, still do. I remember being really upset when it stopped airing

Why is it okay for a little white girl to be on a range with a machine gun—she accidentally kills her instructor and I guarantee her little ass will have zero repercussions. “Should she even have been there?” “What do we to make sure this doesn’t happen again”It was an honest mistake. An accident” they’ll say. While the rest of call bullshit to deaf ears.

This is a backward but cold world.
